ST Mary's Catholic Primary School PTA Meeting 11.01.07

Minutes from last meeting Valentines disco booked for the 10th Feb at St Marie's Church hall 7pm till 10pm.
Bags to school Unsure of the money raised from this event as yet. Next possible date for this event will be March. J.S. to clarify
Newsletter Asked if a PTA newsletter can be done ASAP. J.S
Race Night Another successful night, this time a joint event with Sacred Heart school. Total raised £450 for each school. Another race night which will be a family event to be arranged for some time in April. Carry forward to next mtg.
Stain glassed window Mr. Copley informed the mtg that a lot of parents had expressed an interest and some had already left their donations with reception. Mr. Copley intends to get one window completed along with plaque which will be placed along side with the families names on of those who have contributed. There will then be another opportunity for another window to be done. A reminder to parents will go out in the school/PTA newsletter. P.C
Roller blading Again another successful event. In order to ensure that we can contact parents in case of emergency, parents will be asked for their contact numbers when purchasing their tickets. £33 raised

Treasurer report. Spent £655 contributed towards School Library £80 for PTA liability insuranceRaised £33. Rollerblading £700 matched funds from H Boss. Letter of thanks to be sentTotal sum currently in the bank: £8,494.00 P.C
Valentines Disco Balloons from Shaw & Lisle to be donatedRaffle: License for alcohol to be checked outSweets and PopNew decorations requiredSet the hall up. November Ball The response from parents was disappointing; a total of 33 had been completed.20 saying yes to the ball. 13 saying no due to expense and it not being a family event.Based on this it was agreed that it would not be viable for this event to take place.A lengthy discussion took place about other possible events for Nov 07, agreed that all PTA members were think of ideas for this. Original focus group for ball would lead on event for Nov. To be carried forward. ALL
Post Xmas night out Friday 26th Jan 07 at the Hairy Lemon at 8pm. £5 deposit required. C.M
